Help people to help themselves long-term
The WeCare-Association does not want to create dependencies but rather it strived to develop sustainable sources of income to fight famine and poverty. This only works provided there is a well-functioning transfer of know-how among the local population, local experts and cooperation partners. Therefore, it is extremely important for us to involve the local population in every single project step and in all the necessary decision-making.
Transparency
Transparency is very important to us. We guarantee that every donation will be used 1:1 for the project. Our board members are volunteers. All administration costs are privately covered by the founders, Susanne Riz and Robert Buchbauer.
Sustainability
Before deciding on an investment, three questions have to be answered:
- Is the idea realistic?
- Is the idea sustainable?
- Will the project help to improve the future of the people concerned?
A positive answer to these three questions helps to ensure that we are investing in meaningful and sustainable projects. We want to integrate the local population in this process and to convince them to apply new methods and know-how in their own interest, ie to make them independent. We want to have a positive social impact and in the long-run provide people with the help to help themselves.
