Curriculum Vitae of Giorgio Girella

Giorgio Girella is founder and head of the Italian NGO «La Nostra Africa» (Our Africa). He was born on January 8th, 1973 in the Italian town Copparo (Province of Ferrara). He is self-employed and working as a designer of lighting projects.

Since the beginning of the noughties he has been doing charitable work. He gathered his first experiences in this field in 2002 when he was volunteering in a leprosy ward in Bangalore, India. In 2004 he participated voluntarily in the building of a well in Mali. In 2006 he found himself in Togo where he was working in a hospital ward in Lomé. He discovered his penchant for Kenya in 2007 when he first volunteered in the Slums of Nairobi. In 2008 he incorporated the NGO «La Nostra Africa» and has realized numerous projects as well as organized volunteer camps with great enthusiasm and personal initiative.
Giorgio is a relentless idealist who tirelessly advocates for the interests of the Maasai population.
